What should I expect when I arrive at Preterm?
Expect to be at the clinic between 2 - 4 hours, depending on the anaesthetic and circumstances.

On arrival your personal details will be taken by the receptionist. You will then have a consultation to confirm your pregnancy, review your medical history, explain the procedure, discuss contraception and your decision regarding the pregnancy.

Pathology tests (which are bulk-billed if you have a Medicare card) will verify your pregnancy, blood group and haemoglobin.

You will have the opportunity to discuss problems or concerns related to your decision with experienced counsellors.

The termination itself takes 10-15 minutes.
